Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), formerly Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology, was established in 1968 by the Government of India with assistance from UNDP at Chennai. It is a premier academic institution fully devoted to Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Testing and Quality Assurance in the plastics and petrochemicals domain.
To become an apex Institute of International repute in the field of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology and ensure sustainable growth.
